The head and shaft on this elegant R.B. Wilson one-piece driver are made from a single solid piece of wood. There is no neck joint. The club, which appears to be made out of ash, measures 43" in length and the sheepskin grip is original. The head is marked "R.B. Wilson, St. Andrews, NB." The back weight and lead button on the sole are original as is the slender neck.
This club likely saw little to no use, which probably explains why, in part, that such a slender neck survived to this day. R.B. Wilson one-piece clubs are among the rarest known, and this one is an outstanding original example in all respects.
