Tiger Woods turned pro with his iconic "Hello World" announcement in late August, 1996. Many seasoned Tour pros were waiting for the budding star to get a reality check about the difficulty of making the jump to the PGA Tour. Tiger quickly proved his once in a lifetime talent by winning not once, but twice before the end of the season. Both of these wins came in October 1996 - his 1st victory at the Las Vegas Invitational and his 2nd victory at the Disney Classic.

Offered here is a rare badge from the 1996 Walt Disney World-Oldsmobile Golf Classic that contains a circa 1996 signature of the tournament's champion Tiger Woods. We can only presume that this autograph was obtained at or around the time of the event.
