Offered is a 2000-era Scotty Cameron Newport II Tour Slantneck in Triple Black finish and top site dot.
From Vog: While the COA does not mention the player, I believe this one to have been made for Brett Wetterich, a PGA Tour Winner and participant in the 2006 Ryder Cup. He was a Titleist staffer and I have seen images of him playing a Studio Design blade but not this exact putter. While the COA mentions it was made from studio stainless steel (SSS), I honestly had not seen a Newport II slantneck in SSS. So we checked and a magnet sticks to the head, so apparently the studio was mistaken - a magnet will not stick to stainless.
Taking a further look at this one, the Newport II of this era had the coveted tri-sole design, but this looks to have had some "Scotty magic" done to the sole, as when I look at the face of this putter, there appears to be more angles to the tri-sole, with material taken off the sole at the heel and toe. When I look at the back of this putter, the "bumpers" (think where Tiger's gamer has his name stamped) look to be shallower from top to bottom at the extreme heel and toe. All in all, evidence Scotty worked on this putter by hand, shaping the sole to the player's wishes. A very cool putter, and has the kind of "Scotty magic" I don't see very often.
Condition is 8.5 out of 10 with minor nicks, with rare site dot. 35.5" inches long with custom shop headcover.
