Offered here is a 1998-1999 Scotty Cameron Newport II in original oil can finish, with initials HT and a Q stamped on the face.

Vog says: I wish my memory on this putter and a few similar ones was fully functioning. At least 20 years ago I was at one of the famous "putter parties" at the annual PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando. It was at a time when Scotty attended the PGA Show, one of Scotty's original distributors, Tablerock Golf, sold many Cameron putters on the floor of the show, and A LOT of different Cameron and golf collectors attended. Someone (I forget who) walked in with a hardshell case of clubs. In it he had maybe 5 or 6 early oil can Cameron putters, all with the initials HT and I think all with Q stamped on them as well. HT was Harry Taylor, a former tour player who has been in the golf club design and manufacturing business over the past decade or so. And the "Q?" That's the part I can't remember. I vaguely recall someone trying to ask Scotty about them, but I don't think Scotty had a definitive answer. There was a lot of speculation that it stood for "Quality" but I don't think that was substantiated. That said, this has the original, gorgeous oil can finish which is sought out by many collectors. It will never be duplicated.

Condition is all original, 9.5 out of 10, 35" Cord grip and Art of Putting headcover.

Certificate of authenticity from Scotty Cameron.
