Created by the Ceramic Arts Company, Lenox ceramics are genuine works of art. This outstanding 5 1/2" tall, three-handled loving cup with an ornate sterling silver rim is not only crafted from porcelain but also features entirely hand-painted scenes on its exterior. No two Lenox pieces are identical, yet they all exhibit stunning beauty. This particular example showcases a young lady and a young man, both holding golf clubs.

The Ceramic Arts Company was founded in Trenton, New Jersey in 1889.  Lenox took control of CAC around 1895 and changed the name to Lenox China Company in 1906.  This example bears the CAC Lenox mark, dating it circa 1900.

Renowned for their exceptional quality, Lenox ceramics are cherished worldwide for their originality and beauty. The shine, vibrant colors, and artistic creativity of these antique golf-themed ceramics bring a unique and captivating touch to any golf display or collection. The loving cup is truly remarkable, with rich colors, and will display with sparkle and charm.

In the opinion of the auctioneer, Lenox golf-themed pieces have been underappreciated for a number of years now.  The quality of the 125-year-old original art on these pieces is unsurpassed, yet almost nobody has original golf art that dates to 1900 or before. These are timeless pieces that were produced in a relative small quantity.
