This circa 1875 putter was made by the Grand Old man of Golf and 4-time British Open champion Tom Morris. The 37" shaft is original and still has its original sheepskin grip. The Morris name is not prominent, but it is all there and can be clearly seen upon close inspection.
The head has a very nice shape, nice lines, and it measures 5 1/2" in length, 1 7/8" in width, and 1" in face depth. The face was given a slight but graceful hook. The lead backweight is original, but it is quite large and gives this club a good deal of heft. Overall, A Nice Club!
Tom Morris is well known as the Grand Old Man of Golf. When he died in 1908, he was a living legend. Today, his legacy continues unabated. This is an excellent example of his work.
