In this auction, we have the extreme privilege of offering items from Old Tom Morris' personal collection that have been passed down in his family since his death in 1908. The offered items are being consigned to Golden Age by an heir of Old Tom Morris, and are being seen publicly for the very first time in this auction. 

Pair of Old Tom Morris' Personal Carte de Visite Photographs

Offered here are two original Carte de Visite photographs of Old Tom Morris that were owned by Old Tom Morris himself. We are not sure whether either of these images of Old Tom have ever been publicly seen before. We're almost certain that the hat-less photo of Old Tom is previously unknown and unpublished. A remarkable find!

This pair of original circa 1880s CdVs were recently discovered by use while digging through the personal effects of Old Tom Morris' heirs. Though previously unknown to us, they were clearly taken in the same photography session. Some paper loss, discoloration, and attached tape, but the images are crisp and clear. Each are 4" x 2 3/8".
