You know, the auctioneer believes this Ping Putter stamped "Sammy Davis Jr" is not just gold, its golden! It was made for the man himself and not for a tour event. When Ping wouid make multiple clubs for an event, they would put the title of the event on the heads. Furthermore, gold plating a few hundred putter heads for an event, let alone heads and shafts, was not an option Ping offered to customers. Ping did, however, fill the request and make a set of gold-plated clubs for Jackie Gleason.

The auctioneer believes everything indicates this was a personal putter made for Sammy Davis Jr.  Both head and shaft are gold plated.  Original PING rubber grip.  35 ½” shaft with gold PING shaft band. “Sammy Davis Jr.” is stamped in script on the sole. Putter remains in outstanding condition.
