These Wilson Sarazen 4-star woods feature soleplates that identify each wood as either a driver, brassie, or spoon.  Shafts are also a unique design. There is only one step down in the shaft and it is in the middle of each shaft and it is marked “Heart of the Shaft.” This step down actually runs in the opposite direction towards the grip. “4250 B” stamped on each plate indicating a 42 ½” driver length.

This particular set is all original and shows minimal use.

Wilson’s 1938 Catalog description for these clubs reads:

“Perfect in every detail of refinement both in design and finish. The fine balance and weight placement of the pear shaped heads instill a sense of confidence and stamp the Sarazen 4 Star woods as a product of master designers.

“Dark mahogany pear shaped, impregnated, persimmon head. Mahogany face with white crisscross face scoring. Featuring a new method of club identification, with the letters “D, B, or S," forming the sole plate. Plain lead back weights; mahogany finish sheath covered HEDDON steel shaft, with black sleeve and hosel reinforcement and knurl marking at the step down. Long black calfskin perforated Reminder grip with rounded button top and celluloid trim. Stocked in men's' right hand (425B-430A-430B lengths); and left hand (425B 430A lengths).

Here's a chance to step back in time and bring a set home.
