Offered here is an original photograph of a young Arnold Palmer with Robert Sweeny on the eve of their final round match at the 1954 US Amateur. To most, Arnold Palmer was a complete unknown at the time - and even he wasn't sure if he was good enough to play professional golf. At the time of this photograph, Palmer was employed as a paint salesman in Cleveland. Fortunately for him (and all of us), Palmer would go on to beat Sweeny, win the 1954 US Amateur, and declare professional.
8x10". PSA Type 1 original photograph.
