Offered here is a scarce 1899 1st edition of The Golf Girl. This is one of only 12 golf books printed in the United States prior to 1900. 15 pages, illustrated with 4 color plates by Maud Humphrey. The original pictorial green boards stamped and lettered in bright red-orange that have been re-attached to new boards. A book of golfing verse with a charming illustration of "the golf girl" by the famous children's illustrator Maud Humphrey. 

Condition is good. Attractive cover with minor staining, a chip on bottom right, minor bubbling. Rebound with original boards placed over new, and endpapers added. 

A truly scarce and important early golf title. 10 3/4" x 8 3/4".
