Offered here is a truly historic 1906 panoramic photograph of The Loop, 17 Mile Drive that features stunning views of the land where Cypress Point Club would be built 22 years later. This is unquestionably the earliest and most significant golf related panoramic photograph that we've ever encountered.

In this stunningly large original photograph you can see iconic landmarks including:

-Where Cypress Point's 16th Tee Box now resides
-The famed cypress tree still in middle of the famed 16th hole
-the iconic Bird Rock
-future 15 tee box
-future 15 green
-17 Mile Drive before it was rerouted because of Cypress Point Club

This massive piece measures 52 3/8 x 13 3/8 overall with Frame. Glass was removed from frame to ensure protection of this original photograph during shipping. Should be taken to be professional to have backing redone.

Our consignor created a copy of this panoramic photograph as a gift to Cypress Point Club, and that copy hangs in the locker room at Cypress Point Club. But make no mistake, Cypress Point Club owns the replica photo. The winner of this auction lot will own the only original.
