Sam Snead was known for his longevity. His career spanned six decades, included 82 PGA Tour victories (most all time) and of course, over 50 years with Wilson Staff. This 50 year relationship is considered the longest running endorsement deal with the same company. Upon Snead's 50th Anniversary with Wilson, he was presented this custom gold plated set of irons and woods. It is the only such set that exists, and was obtained directly from Sam Snead's Estate. The irons are Sam Snead Wilson Staff Tour Blades 1-SW with S-400 shafts and Danny Edwards Royal Grips, and the woods are Wilson Staff Sam Snead Championship Model in Driver, Brassie, Spoon. The Staff bag notes his 200 champions, 50th Anniversary with Wilson, and 4 times serving as US Ryder Cup Team captain (1951, 1959, and 1969). This bag and set are in excellent, near mint condition. A truly eye catching piece.
