Offered here is a late 1990's Scotty Cameron Tour Newport Tei3 Longneck made for Jim Furyk.

Vog says: From the "deep South" collection, this putter has something I've only seen once before: a longneck bent at the base to create even more offset. Yes, I own the other one-also made from a Teryllium. When I first saw this I noticed a weld at the base of the front of the neck-cool, right? Then I looked at the rear of the putter-no weld. Then I figured it out. Scotty bent the neck at the base to create the additional offset, but metal does not bend without limits-even carbon steel. Check out the side profile picture we provided! I theorize that if he had bent the base of the neck there would be a little bulge or curve of the neck at the base-something that Furyk would likely notice. So it appears he cut out a notch at the base-on the face side-removing some material but leaving a thin piece of metal keeping the head and neck in one piece. He then bent the offset in, and finished it up by welding up the base on the face side where the notch was, creating the necessary reinforcement. If you think about what Scotty did here and the 2000-2001 Mil-Spec Newports, he had a notch in the neck to facilitate bending the loft on the Mil-Specs. While the bends are different-for offset here and lie angle for the Mil-Spec, the basic idea was the same with the notch, to facilitate the bend of the neck! Finally, Jim tried A LOT of different Camerons in the 90's on tour. It used to be exciting to watch a tour event back then and see what putter he was using!

Length is 35.75" with matte black finish, Scotty also wrote "Jim Furyk" on top of shaft using red Sharpie, condition is 9 out of 10, excellent, with pro platinum cover. Includes "old school" letter of authenticity signed by Scotty stating the putter was made in 1998, which will be provided to the winning bidder.
