Marked “Ry Hunter" on the crown, this play club was made right at the end of the long nose era, quite possibly when Ramsay Hunter was the professional at Royal St. Georges Golf Club in Sandwich, England, from about 1888 to 1900. Orig sheepskin Grip and 44 1/2" shaft. When it comes to long nose clubs made by different clubmakers, examples by Ramsay Hunter are about exceedingly scarce.
This head on this club measures 5 3/8" in length, 2" in width, and 1 1/4" in face depth. Head is tight and the face is clean. Another excellent rarity from the end of the long nose era!
