Charles Clay, a Belgium Open champion and five-time participant in the England vs. Scotland International Golf Match between 1907 and 1913, crafted this club. With the traditional long nose putter in mind, Clay updated the design with a shorter, wider head that presented a more modern style for the early 1900s. Overall, it is a distinctly unique club that presents well, with its own take on the long nose design.
The club is in original condition, with a strong name stamp and original finish. The 32 1/2" shaft is original as is the worn sheepskin grip. The shaft is stamped "C. Clay." A previous proud owner of his club carved his initials on the shaft for all to see.
