This is a continuously awarded trophy from the Leith Shipping Companies Golf Club which was instituted in 1895.
The Club prizes consisted of a President’s Cup played at scratch for foursomes from the various shipping offices, and a Captains medal played at handicap by holes.
Here we have the Presidents Cup with the winners engraved starting in 1895 and ending in 2011. A span of 116 years!
This impressive, hallmarked sterling silver quaich (a traditional Scottish drinking vessel) is in outstanding condition. It is engraved with winners names from 1895 - 2012 and weighs 1.68 lbs, or 24.63 OZT
It measures 3 7/8" tall, 8" in diameter, and 13" across at the handles. An impressive ship scene is engraved on the inside of bowl.
