Offered here are actual handwritten notes by H.S.C. Everard for articles that Everard wrote for Golf Magazine in the 1890s.

The contents include match notes that Everard took when watching Harry Vardon, JH Taylor, and James Braid play. It also includes a story that he was told by Robert Clark (author) about Allan Robertson who hit a loft shot over the Scholar's Bunker on the 17th hole at the Old Course and Col. Playfair claimed that Allan could not do it again...so Allan proceeded to hit the same shot three more times in a row. Another story about Willie Park Sr.'s first time coming to St. Andrews as an unknown player and then scoring 85 and driving the ball longer than anyone had seen. Also Everard's thoughts on the new rubber core ball and controversy related to it.

This was previously owned by Tom Morris biographer and Historian Peter Crabtree, and was part of his legendary collection.
