The 1981 Donruss Jack Nicklaus card is often regarded as the Rookie Card of the Golden Bear. But a decade earlier a rare card was produced of Jack Nicklaus in the 1971 Barratt & Co Ltd "Famous Sportsmen" set. Only unsigned 418 copies of this true Rookie Card of Jack Nicklaus have ever been graded by PSA - compared to almost 5,000 copies of Jack Nicklaus' 1981 Donruss Rookie Card. According to the PSA population report, this is (tied with) the highest grade for any signed Jack Barratt card.
