Doug Ford's 1972 PGA Championship

    This is a 1972 PGA Championship Contestant's pin owned and worn by Doug Ford, 1955 PGA Champion and 1957 Masters Champion. Very rarely do PGA Championship contestant's pins ever come up for sale. Although occasionally you will see some from the Masters and USGA events (check out our other auctions!), for some reason the PGA pins are even harder to find.  Unlike the Masters Contestant's pins which have the identifying player number, the only way you can identify most contestant's pins is if you get them directly from the player.  That's what makes this pin so special - this pin comes with a letter from Doug Ford stating that he used it.  You can't get a better letter of authenticity than that!
