Roger Cleveland signed Cleveland wedge

   Gene Sarazen may get credit for inventing the sand wedge, but many give Roger Cleveland credit for perfecting it.  In a day when players sign exclusive contracts with the likes of Nike, Titleist and Callaway, these contracts often exclude wedges because many players refuse to use any wedges other than one of Roger Cleveland's creations.
