Vintage Full Can of Halley's Golf Ball
Enamel Paint
Until ballmaking technology
improved in the early 1900's, the paint did not adhere to a golf ball's surface
very well. As outlined on this original can of golf ball enamel paint, the
best method of repainting was messy; it required the golfer to place a small
amount of the enamel paint in a cupped hand and then roll the ball between his
palms. Presented here is a rare full can of Halley's Golf Ball Enamel
Paint. This can dates from the late 1800's, and is one of the finest
examples we have ever seen.
