Vintage 1938 Program With Scarce Craig Wood,
Billy Burke, Lawson Little
and Jim Turnesa Autographs
Presented here is the most significant collection of early Major Championship
winner autographs that we have ever offered. This is a rare 1938 Program
from the Columbia - Ridgewood $5000 Open Golf Tournament that has been
beautifully signed in fountain pen by 14 golf stars from the 1930's.
Simply put, this program contains some of the rarest Major Champions winner
autographs in existence. All autographs are on the front of this great,
vintage program. Included on this program is an extremely rare autograph
of 1941 Masters and U.S. Open Champion Craig Wood. Craig Wood passed away
in 1968, and is one of the most difficult autographs to obtain of all Masters
Champions and U.S. Open Champions of the last 80 years. While Craig Wood's
autograph may certainly be the most desirable, this program also contains
scarce autographs of Major Championship winners Lawson Little, Jim Turnesa,
and Billy Burke, each of whom passed away over 36 years ago.
Virtually every autograph collection out there is missing signatures of Wood,
Little, Turnesa and Burke. It's simply amazing that all four of those
elusive autographs are contained together on this program.
It's almost laughable that with those great autographs, it's almost an
afterthought that this program is also signed twice by 7 time Major Champion and 26 year old Sam Snead, an incredible 11 years
before his first Masters Tournament victory.
This 1938 Program contains autographs of golfers who won a combined 13 Major
Championships from 1931 to 1954.
