The Ryder Cup
Justin Leonard's Actual 1999 Ryder Cup
Yardage Book with 17th Green Notes!
The Justin Leonard Collection
In this auction, we are very pleased to offer some incredible pieces of golf
memorabilia from Justin Leonard's longtime caddie, Bob Riefke. When we first
spoke with Riefke, he shared with us a treasure trove of memorabilia obtained
during his many years "inside the ropes." Now, Riefke has decided that these
great items will be better appreciated by collectors across the world.
The 1999 Ryder Cup is far and away the most famous (and, therefore, collectible)
Ryder Cup tournament in recent memory. The United States team faced a seemingly
insurmountable deficit going into the Sunday matches. Everyone knows how this
story ends - Justin Leonard sunk a 45-foot putt to win the Ryder Cup for the
Americans.
Presented here is certainly one of the most incredible 1999 Ryder Cup items that
we have ever seen - the actual Caddie Yardage Book from the caddie of Ryder Cup
hero Justin Leonard. This historic piece of memorabilia is the actual yardage
book used by Justin Leonard and his caddie Bob Riefke throughout the 1999 Ryder
Cup Matches. Most significantly, it even includes Riefke's handwritten notes
from the site of Justin Leonard's historic putt on the 17th green!
This great yardage book comes with a letter of authenticity from Justin
Leonard's longtime caddie, Bob Riefke.
