to Bobby Jones & the founding of Augusta National, many of the offered
photographs are among the finest such examples in the hobby.
This historic 1926 photograph depicts
Bobby Jones receiving a hero's welcome as he returns to Atlanta from winning the
1930 British Open. Jones, who also won the 1926 U.S. Open, is greeted at the
Atlanta train station by hundreds of adoring fans, who promptly place the great
Champion on their shoulders and salute his victory across the pond.
This 8"x10" silver gelatin photo is
in very nice condition with one corner chip. Reverse has a full paper caption
and stamps from Acme and NEA.
