As you've no doubt seen by now, this Winter Golf
Auction by Green Jacket Auctions represents one of the greatest sales of golf
photographs in history. From Old Tom Morris & the origins of professional golf
to Bobby Jones & the founding of Augusta National, many of the offered
photographs are among the finest such examples in the hobby.
Offered here are 3 large original
1930 photographs from Interlachen Country Club. These photos were taken in
anticipation of the 1930 U.S. Open and Bobby Jones' quest for the Grand Slam.
This photo study of the course depicts the 18th green approach, hole number 11
approach, and hole number 2. Bobby Jones, of course, would not disappoint, as he
captured the title at the 1930 U.S. Open en route to the Grand Slam.
Each of these 3 photos is in very
good condition. Reverse of each has a full paper caption and stamps from NEA.
