1899 Haskell Bramble
Gutta Percha Golf Ball
The Haskell patent ball was one of the greatest single inventions in golf. The
new ball was made by the Goodrich Tire and Rubber Co, of Arran, Ohio and called
after its inventor, Coburn Haskell . It was the first golf ball made with a
centre core, wound with elastic tape and then covered.
This original Haskell ball features the patent date of 1899, which is easily
readable on the ball.
