Actual Augusta National Pin Flag
Used During 1982 Masters Tournament
As some of you Masters Tournament patrons will remember, from 1979 until 1996,
the Masters Tournament actually used "Augusta National" pin flags on the course
during the Tournament. Nowadays, Augusta National flags are traditionally used
during practice rounds before the official "Masters Tournament" pin flags are
flown during the actual tournament rounds.
Offered here is an original
course-used Augusta National Golf Club pin flag is being consigned today by the
son of a former Augusta National Golf Club employee. This pin flag dates to
1982, and is believed to have flown on the 18th green during the 1982 Masters
Tournament.
There are a couple glue strips on the back as it was once framed, though since
it's on the back of the flag we have made no attempt to correct this. Excellent
chance to own an original Augusta National pin flag - and one that actually flew
during the Masters Tournament. We believe that this vintage one-sided Augusta
National pin flag is the earliest Augusta National flag we've ever offered, as
they had only been used for a couple years by 1982.
