1948 Masters Gift Ash Tray
To Bowman Milligan
Brass ash try of hole number 13 "Azalea" from the 1948 Masters Tournament. These
ash trays were famously a player gift at the 1948 Masters Tournament. This ash
tray, however, was given to Bowman Milligan. Bowman was ANGC's Steward and the
very first person hired by Augusta National Golf Club. Bowman was a personal
favorite of Cliff Roberts (and Roberts spoke very fondly of him in his book),
which likely resulted in him receiving such a gift.
Included with this lot are two
original photographs of Bowman.
