Original 1901 British Amateur Photograph

    This is an exceptional original photograph on board from the 1901 British Amateur at St. Andrews. Surely only a few original photographs exist from the 1901 British Amateur, and the offered example may be the finest. According to the vintage handwritten caption on the back, this photograph depicts John L. Low putting against Mr. Smith. Low went on to win that match before losing to Harold Hilton in the final (also noted on the back of this photo). This exceptional original photo on board measures 5 1/8" x 9 1/2" mounted on board.
