Horton Smith 1934 Wire Photo

Sinking Final Putt to Win the Masters

Here is a photograph that we assumed existed, but had never been able to locate until recently. This is a rare original photograph of Horton Smith putting on the 18th green to secure his victory at the inaugural Masters Tournament in 1934. This 7x9" photograph is exceptional, and finally answers our questions as to the 18th hole pin position in 1934. And keep in mind that this is now the 9th green at ANGC, as the nines were reversed by Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts in between the 1934 and 1935 Masters Tournaments.
