     This is the original program from the historic 1928 international match between Walter Hagen and Archie Compston. Walter Hagen, the defending British Open Champion challenged Compston, who earlier famously beat Hagen 18 up with 17 to play in what has become part of golfing lore. This return match was scheduled for 72 holes of play to be played at two courses, the links of the Sandy Burr Country Club, Wayland, Mass. and the Westchester Biltmore Country Club at Rye, NY.
