Jack Nicklaus Signed
1962 U.S. Open Program
Presented here is an original program from one of the greatest Major Championships of all time - the 1962 U.S. Open. The ‘62 Open was held at legendary Oakmont and marked the emergence of a young golfer from Ohio - Jack Nicklaus. Arnold Palmer was the fan favorite, and the gallery was clearly rooting for Arnie over the young Nicklaus, who hadn't yet won any professional tournament, let alone a Major Championship.
Nicklaus and Palmer finished 72 holes tied at 283, and squared off in a Monday playoff for the U.S. Open title. Jack Nicklaus defeated Arnold Palmer on that famous Monday and never looked back - winning a record 17 more Major Championships after that. This amazing program has been signed by Jack Nicklaus and would be a fine addition to any Nicklaus collection.
