It is not often that such an important artifact relating to the life and accomplishments of the immortal Bobby Jones comes to auction. In 1958, Jones received perhaps his greatest honor when the people of St. Andrew's, Scotland awarded him the Freedom of the City and the Royal Burgh of St. Andrews award, in what has been called the most moving ceremony in the history of golf.
