When the longtime Atlanta Journal-Constitution writer Furman Bisher passed away in the 2012, the New York Times wrote: “Rarely, if ever, has a major sports competition been so enduringly linked with a sports journalist than the Masters with Bisher.” Indeed, Bisher covered the Masters Tournament an incredible 62 times.
