Circa 1930s Unusual Golf Pencil
Countertop Display
This is a highly unusual Golf Shop countertop display. Our best guess is that this piece dates to the 1930s. This pencil display is in fine working order; the bottom of the pencil box opens as you press the lever and the “birdie” leans forward and retrieves a golf pencil in its beak. This rare item is in excellent condition. Though we have asked around and searched dozens of auction catalogs and reference books, we have never seen this item before.
