Wow, we’ve never seen this one before - an actual contestant’s badge from Francis Ouimet’s 1931 U.S. Amateur victory. The ’31 U.S. Amateur was Ouimet’s 3rd Major win, coming an amazing 17 years after his first Amateur victory in 1914 and 18 years after his legendary 1913 U.S. Open win that changed golf forever.

Only 139 players competed and, therefore, received these contestant badges in this 1931 Amateur, so the total number that still exist in private golf collections is anyone’s guess!
