Tom Morris Circa 1890
Bulger Driver/Play Club
Old
Tom Morris is one of the most iconic figures in golf history. No golf
collection can be considered serious or complete without Morris' name
attached to several key pieces. Since golf collecting started
approximately a century ago, perhaps the most consistently sought-after
piece of memorabilia over that time is a golf club made by Old Tom
Morris.
This
is a great club with beautiful period patina and character. The head is
stamped T. Morris. The shaft with a slight "St. Andrews" bend is also
stamped with the Morris stamp. The whipping appears to have been
replaced and the grip appears to have been changed. The head is a bit
loose and could be repaired. The club measures 43 3/4".
