Babe Ruth Signed 1937 Golf Scorecard

The Great Bambino! Babe Ruth is one of the most iconic sports figures to ever live. What many people do not realize is that the Hall of Fame baseball player was also an excellent golfer.

Offered here is the exceedingly rare opportunity to obtain an original used and signed scorecard of Babe Ruth from 1937. Even better, this scorecard comes with impeccable provenance dating back to 1937. This scorecard comes directly from the family of his 1937 golfing partner Jack Evans, as well as an original newspaper article documenting this exact golf match between then-19 year old Evans and the great Babe Ruth.

This round of golf was played at the historic New York golf course Pelham Country Club - site of the 1923 PGA Championship which was won by Gene Sarazen. Babe Ruth shot a very respectable 77 at the Major Championship venue; but the 19 year old Jack Evans was even better, carding a 74 against Ruth.

The family of Jack Evans has stored this scorecard in a scrapbook since young Jack got to play a round with the great Babe Ruth. Now - over 77 years since this golf round was played, the daughter of Jack Evans is finally ready to offer this scorecard for sale for the very first time.

Babe Ruth's autograph grades a solid 9+. This is certainly one of the finest Babe Ruth golf scorecards in existence.

Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
