Bobby Jones'
1933 Golf Tournament Gold Medal
Bobby Jones famously kept his tournament medals in a small chest in the
dining room of his Atlanta home before donating them to the United States
Golf Association Museum in 1967, where they reside to this day. Because of
this, only a few of Bobby Jones’ original golf medals are known to exist in
private hands.
Offered here is the medal Bobby Jones won as a
member of the Warner Bros. team in a golf tournament held in February 1933.
This tournament was held at the Agua Caliente Golf Club in Baja California.
Medal is gold plated and is engraved "Motion Picture Tournament, Won by
Warner Brothers Team, Robert Tyre Jones, Jr. Feb 25-26th 1933".
