A.W. Tillinghast was no question one of the most prolific architects in the history of golf - working on no fewer than 265 different courses during his 66-year lifetime.  Bethpage, Baltusrol and Winged Foot were but a few.  Anything bearing Tillinghast’s name typically draws heightened interest at auction, including his writings.  Here we have a 1915 First Edition of Tillinghast’s Cobble Valley Yarns and other Sketches.  The book is in good condition with normal cover wear for the age and a tight spine.  Gilchrist’s Guide to Golf Collectibles values this rare 1915 edition at $1,450.
