Perhaps nobody in history has had as big an impact on golf television broadcasting as Frank Chirkinian, a member of the Golf Hall of Fame and the “father of televised golf” during his career as CBS Golf Executive Producer from 1959-1996.  Of all Chirkinian’s revolutionary golf broadcasting innovations and accomplishments (including four Emmy & two Peabody Awards) … the one that he was most proud of was being the first to display golfers' scores relative to par, rather than cumulatively, making it simpler to work out how they were faring relative to the rest of the field.  In addition, Chirkinian was particularly well regarded for the coverage of the Masters Tournament that he oversaw for four decades, working closely with the authorities at Augusta National to ensure they were satisfied.  To that end, we are pleased to offer here a Frank Chirkinian Signed Masters Pin Flag.  The flag is undated and has been boldly signed in the top left.
