1947 US Open Contestants Badge

Presented here is an actual contestant's badge from the 1947 US Open. One badge is made for every contestant at each year's US Open.  This badge is one of the 146 or so contestant's badges that were produced for the competitors in the 1947 US Open, and the first such badge that we have sold from this 68 year old tournament. Lew Worsham won the 1947 U.S. Open at St. Louis Country Club, denying Sam Snead his elusive U.S. Open title by prevailing in an 18-hole playoff.
