Errie Ball's 1960 US Open Local Chicago Qualifier
Low Score USGA Silver Medal
This is a Sterling Silver Medal awarded to Errie Ball for posting the low round at the Chicago qualifier for the 1960 U.S. Open, where Arnold Palmer famously staged the greatest comeback in U.S. Open history.
Errie Ball was the Oak Park Country Club Golf Professional for many years, and is most famous for playing in the inaugural Masters Tournament in 1934 (then called Augusta National Invitation Tournament). Ball was also the last living participant from that inaugural Masters. He died in 2015 at the age of 103.
