Augusta National Golf Club Pro Bob Kletche's
Personally-Used 1970s Spalding ANGC Irons
Bob Kletcke served as the co-head golf professional at Augusta National Golf Club for an amazing 31 years, before retiring from that position in 2004. In that position, he no doubt witnessed enough golf history for 10 lifetimes. Kletche had the opportunity to teach President Eisenhower, Vice-Presidents Richard Nixon and Spiro Agnew and Secretaries of State James Baker and George Schultz … to name a few!
Offered here is a Set of Custom Spalding Augusta National Irons (3,4,5,6,8,9,PW) from the 1970s. The set is complete except is missing the 7 iron. The heads are stamped with the script name of ANGC head professional Bob Kletche. They are also stamped with the Masters logo and “Augusta National G.C.”. In addition to serving as the Head Professional and being an accomplished teacher at Augusta National, Kletche was known to get it around the course with great skill as well. Kletche twice shot 63 from the Augusta National member tees … who knows, it might have been with these irons!
