The 1936 U.S. Open, the 40th National Open Championship contested, was famously won by Tony Manero at Baltusrol Golf Club.  The relatively unknown New York area native, overcame a four shot deficit with a course record 67 to claim the major title over “Lighthorse” Harry Cooper.  Here is a rare bound edition of the official 1936 U.S. Open Program.
