1953 Commemorative Edition Golf Bag

This is the famous embroidered commemorative 1953 Ben Hogan golf bag. In the late 1980s, The Hogan Company manufactured a limited number of embroidered staff bags commemorating Ben Hogans historic 1953 season. Our consignor, who was in the golf industry and did a lot of work with the Hogan Company, was not content with one of these rare unsigned bags and called Hogan's office after he received the bag and asked that Mr. Hogan sign it. Sent and forgotten about, the bag was later returned by Hogan's office with a big bold Ben Hogan signature. The images and text on this impressive bag are not screened, but are all stitched. Tens of thousands of stitches to make up these great images commemorating his magical year of 1953 when Hogan captured all 3 majors he entered.
