Lot Description  

This is the great Jerome Travers' sterling silver trophy from Nassau Country Club on Long Island in 1905. Travers was only 17 years old when he won this tournament in April 1905 - a preview of a career that would result in 5 Major Championship victories. Travers' is also one of only 5 US Open Champions who won the Open while an amateur. 6 3/4" tall, and 249 grams of sterling silver.
