This is a rare original badge from the 1949 Ryder Cup. 1949 was the 8th playing of the Ryder Cup. Ben Hogan was the non-playing Captain, as he was still recovering from his near-fatal car accident. He led the American squad including Jimmy Demaret, Lloyd Mangrum, and Sam Snead to a 7-5 victory at Ganton Golf Club in England. This ticket is 2" in diameter with the original string still attached.
