A rare color postcard featuring a full length photograph of Tom
Morris – titled “Old Tom”. This postcard
is from the “National Series” published by
Millar & Lang and was produced in the early 1900s, shortly before Tom’s
death in 1908.
In the background is the R&A Clubhouse at St. Andrews. The path you see behind Tom is an early
1900s view of Grannie Clark’s Wynd.
This particular card is used and
was posted in 1909. One of only a few postcards produced of Old Tom Morris in color during his lifetime.
